I had the pleasure of guiding a morning paddle in the mist yesterday. I am always thankful when visitors bring to my attention what a special experience it is to be out on the water surrounded by nature in the quiet of our home in nature. Although we have this beautiful opportunity, I do not take enough time to soak it in and enjoy it for myself. This fall, as the leaves turn colour (believe it or not they are starting already!), I’m going to take time each day to appreciate the changes as they come. My brother once told me, “If you are lucky, you only get 70 or 80 fall colours seasons to enjoy in a lifetime.” By that count, I have less than 50 left, so I’m going to make the most of them. What sort of changes are in the air in your neighbourhood this season? Here’s a pic of Martha and Jennifer stretching on the dock before the mist burned away revealing another sunny summer day.
