Victoria Day Weekend Bliss

It’s quiet this morning as the lake is flat and most folks are sleeping in. Last night we paddled over to the island at Gerry’s place. Greg, Chris Shreridan and Gerry Pfaff were busy through the day cutting and laying stone at the entry ways and in a hallway. If you’ve been to the Edge, you are quite familiar with the stonework artistry that Greg has laid down in Points North and the Mainhouse.
The sunset paddle and the calm lake was grand. Around the lake, weekend visitors enjoying time around the campfire as stars burned overhead and the small wake of the canoe rippled away from the boat.
The plan was for a bike ride to Algonquin Park this morning and tonight we’re heading to Calender for Celtfest – a night of music and charm with an Irish focus… Chris is sure to be kicking his heals as his most recent visit was with his Sheridan Family Band to entertain at the kick off to the black fly hunt. Incidentally, with only two weeks left in the hunt, its time to get at it. There are not many black flies to be seen this year.
