It’s that time of year when roadside greenery that has been blown over by the wind, begs to be brought inside, dressed with lights and decorated.
Today, a 60 foot high spruce tree, numerous red twiggs and sprigs of cedar were collected and brought into the main house.
Not the entire 60 feet of tree, just the top 11 feet.
The 11 foot high treetop was brought up to the butterfly room and set up in the lakeside window.
Snow covers the ground and all day long a gentle snowfall gave the illusion of sitting in one of those clear snow globes that you shake up and turn upside down.
