Surprise, it’s snowing again!

Woke up this morning to a few more inches of the white fluffy stuff on the ground. I don’t really care how they measure it, but this part of the Algonquin Park region has had more than its fair share this February. Last week, they announced it was the most ever for a February… well it just kept snowing since then.

You know it snows a lot when you wake up to 8 inches (20 cm) and it seems like just a dusting. It’s hard to believe that guests are calling to register for Canoe Trips this summer…. but they are and we’re delighted at the response to our new itinineraries. Our lineup of canoe and sea kayak trips is still growing and the complete list will be published online this week. Look for some new exciting itineraries including Killarney and a smattering of new sea kayak trips and river trips in Ontario’s Near North.

Anyway, we’re having a fine time enjoying winter this year. A winter retreat is being hosted by Martha this weekend and next weekend Niagara College visits, then its the final Yoga and the Zen of Winter retreat of the year. We’ve been delighted at the response to this new retreat which is full once again! Although people keep calling, you’ll have to wait until next February to get a taste of winter like this again.

I head back to Newfoundland and the beautiful Gros Morne National Park again on Monday. This time, Martha and Vicki will be making the trip next week to participate in one of the three day Edge of the Wedge courses I teach with a couple of good friends, Celes Davar and Nancy Arsenault.
