It’s been a busy may for Martha who has been hosting retreats at our home on the Edge of Algonquin Park. This weekend, it’s a basic shamanism retreat. Alix is getting ready for staff training. Kate is learning the ins and outs of office procedures from Wendy. Natalie and Vicki were on the road yesterday to pick up a grains order. Greg will be in the kitchen again this weekend with Matt and Em’s assistance.
Yesterday, Greg reported that a black bear was wandering around in the forest at the uppermost parking lot. Greg’s dog Rollie, got a bit excited and his barking sent the bear on his way. (**UPDATE: Tracks in the forest indicate that this very large bear, was in fact a moose!) If you are coming up this way, long pants and long sleeves are the order of the day as the warm temps have brought out a few black flies.
But, hey, we’re all happy for summer is on its way.
