Northern Edge Algonquin

Inspiring transformational leadership, deep connection, and extraordinary living . . .

Northern Edge Algonquin, located 3 hours from Toronto at a quiet corner of Algonquin Park, co-creates and hosts all-inclusive transformational retreats for groups of 8 to 30.  We invite you to unplug in nature for our custom-tailored, multi-day experiences that reconnect and inspire the leader within, nourishing deep connections in our communities. Our 20+ years of co-creating and facilitating transformative group experiences have made ‘The Edge’ the perfect retreat venue for all types of groups.

Our guests sleep comfortably in private or semi-private cozy ecoluxe cabins designed in harmony with our forest home, enjoy nourishing meals crafted with care from locally-sourced ingredients, and participate in specially curated experiences hosted by local guides, facilitators, and storytellers which make use of our lakeside studio and natural gathering spaces.

Groups and individuals engage in a variety of experiences led by special guests, guided nature excursions (exploring by stand-up paddleboard, canoe, cross-country ski, snowshoe, bike, or hike); yoga classes, sound meditations, art, and more.  We might align with the pace of nature and rise with the sun to paddle a misty river in search of moose and other wildlife, or unwind in our wood-fired sauna before jumping in the lake or rolling in the snow.  At night, share stories and music in the warmth of a fire circle under a festival of stars.

Guests leave the Edge feeling renewed and transformed, ready to live their extraordinary life.

  • "This is the 3rd time I have been to The Edge for a retreat. The moment I step onto this sacred land, I feel renewed. The energy here is incredible and so nourishing for the mind, body and soul! Attention to detail is found in every corner, from the warm, cozy beds, to the immaculately prepared gourmet meals. To every item displayed on the walls to a book case I could spend months pouring over . . ."

  • "Gregor (The Chef/The Carpenter) is amazing. Like will you marry me, get in my trunk, I'll never eat another meal again kind of amazing. The food he makes is creative and what real farm to table was meant to be. He describes every dish with the care of someone who knows when and where each item was picked. Waiting for that dinner bell was a pavlov's dog experience each time."

  • "We were there on a perfect summer weekend, and spent our time swimming, biking, hiking, paddle boarding, canoeing, relaxing and meeting/enjoying other guests. Courtney, our group leader was so instrumental in keeping the group of 14 engaged for the weekend. She was a great teacher for the water sports and her main concern was that everyone enjoyed the experience and was meeting the guests’ expectations. She never pressured anyone to participate. There was ample time to spend on your own or join in with the group. It truly was an unplugged weekend, with no cell phone or internet access, but in a good healthy way."
