Wendy Martin
Edge Community Connector & Retreat Facilitator
Wendy is one of the longest-running facilitators at the Edge, and over many years her presence has helped shape the connective tissue of this place. As Edge Community Connector, Wendy tends the living threads of relationship that weave through the Edge community—supporting connection among facilitators, the core team, Way of the Circle communities, and local partners. Through listening, care, and gentle stewardship, she helps foster continuity, belonging, and meaningful connection across seasons, programs, and people.
Alongside this role, Wendy is a yoga teacher, retreat guide, and gifted space-holder, known for her poetic presence and calming voice that gently guide people inward toward what matters most. Her work blends yoga therapy, somatics, qi gong, art, sound meditation, writing practices, energy medicine, and hands-on creative expression through natural dye and pottery. These practices come together in grounded, intuitive offerings that support nervous system ease, embodied awareness, and self-discovery. Wendy was also closely involved in the early development and sharing of yoga retreats at the Edge, helping these offerings take root as they were first introduced.
Wendy teaches yoga as Sacred Breath Yoga and currently offers classes at Salt Hot Yoga in Huntsville. She and her husband run the creative business Muskoka Tie Dye, and Wendy also leads international retreats with Yoga Adventures Worldwide. Living in Huntsville, she continues to bring warmth, creativity, and care to the communities she supports—at the Edge and beyond.
