What is a Shamanic Journey?
The Shamanic Journey is a tool used by Shamans world-wide to journey within themselves. Anybody can learn to journey – it is as easy as dreaming. Learn more:
Journeying does not require the use of medicines such as ayahuasca – you can journey using the sound of a drum beat to bring your mind into a state of altered consciousness, and you can journey to the sounds of nature, or to meditative music.
The Canadian Centre for Shamanic Studies presents an mp3 of a drum-beat, for your use in Shamanic journeying. Put it on your iPod or mp3 player and journey any time, any place, or listen right from this web page:
To download: Right-click on the bar and choose “Save Audio As . . .”
Audio teachings and additional shamanic drumming mp3 files are available from time to time to subscribers of Shamanism E-News. Journeys of varying lengths and teachings are recorded at Northern Edge Algonquin in Ontario, Canada.
Many who are searching to learn how to journey can find the answers they are looking for in our Heart Foundations of Shamanism retreat. These programs are available once per season, and take place on the edge of Algonquin Park, Ontario.
