Spring is Springing!!! New Stuff Everywhere

I can’t believe it’s been two weeks since our last post. Things are busy, busy here at the Edge. Warm daytime temps have the sap running and the snow is slowly receding from the roads and trails.

At the Blue Canoe, big changes underway. We’re expanding our office space and the Northern Edge Algonquin office is moving into fresh new office space right across the hall from Blue Canoe. Wendy is looking forward to moving into our new digs. Greg has been spending the past week (and next) in the new space sprucing things up with fresh paint, designing new spaces, and he is getting ready to lay down a new tile floor tomorrow.

We’re welcoming two new staff too! Get ready Blue Canoe fans, Monica McCommiskey has joined the team and she is going to be managing the show at the Blue Canoe. Many of you have come to appreciate Monica’s pottery (Wolf Creek Pottery) over the years. Now she brings her keen eye for detail to retail! Expect a new expanded floor space and lots of new products this spring.

Kara Mitchell has rejoined the Edge team and has a whole bowlful of enthusiasm for her new role. Kara is looking after a number of new program initiatives including expanding and enhancing our Experiential Education programs. Kara is also looking after the adventure side of things with a new slate of over 10 New trips this summer!
Be sure to check out our upcoming events page to learn about new experiences including: Grandfather, Sea Kayaking the West Coast of Killarney, River trips, an expanded line up of Algonquin Park Canoe Adventures and more.

Bookings for our Quest for Balance Sea Kayaking and Yoga Retreats are already taking off! If you want to join us for these events give Wendy a call soon. We expect all four of these scheduled retreats to sell out once again.
Vicki and Martha have planned a wide variety of creative and dreamtime retreats this summer too.
Soon, the ice will be off the lake and it will be time to jump in! We hope you can join us.
