Visioning Your Dream

How can we use our imagination to create better conditions for healing life on the planet?

As spring is awakened within and around us, a sacred garden awaits the planting of new dream seeds for the coming year. Shamanic journeying is a powerful tool we can use to engage our imagination, to vision the future as we want it to be. Engaging our imagination involves getting in touch with all of our senses, so that we can touch, hear, smell, and taste the scene we are visualizing.

Reverend Eloise Page says, “Imagination or the power of creativity are very real and concrete forces, they are neither imaginary, nor illusions.”

Author of Medicine for the Earth , Sandra Ingerman, encourages us to dream responsibly, as we align our vision with the spiritual powers of the universe to co-create a new future for the planet with clean air to breathe and clean water to drink.

Home Practice

Visit your favourite garden, even if there are remnants of snow or ice. What signs of spring are awakening around you? Whether a budding tree, or tiny sprout, connect with a part of nature that is awakening from winter. With permission, merge with this part of nature, inviting the dream seeds within you to awaken. Open your senses and allow your imagination to expand visioning the world as you wish it to be. Allow your imagination to dream of how you want your life to flow. What kind of relationships do you want? How do you want to use your time? What life priorities are important to you? Dream of a world anew, with clean air to breathe, and water to drink. Allow your imagination to expand as far as it can to include your family, community, country and the whole world.

When you feel you have brought the dreaming to completion, offer gratitude to the part of nature you have merged with. With clear focus and intention plant some seeds in your garden or pot, that represent the dream you have for yourself and the earth. Reflect on the words that represent your dream, as you plant them, empowering the dream seeds with love. Water them with love and gratitude as the universe conspires to fulfill your dreams.

Angaangaq Angakkorsuaq‘The Man Who Looks Like His Uncle’

Soar Like An Eagle

After many years of visioning this dream into being, CCSS is very excited to announce that on September 12-14, 2014, we will be hosting Angaangaq Angakkorsuaq, shaman, healer, storyteller and carrier of the Qilaut (winddrum). Many know Angaangaq as ‘Uncle’, for his name means ‘The Man Who Looks Like His Uncle’. Uncle is an Eskimo-Kalaallit Elder whose family belongs to the traditional healers of the Far North from Kalaallit Nunaat, Greenland.

“The greatest distance in the existence of Man is from his mind to his heart. Unless he conquers that distance he can never learn to soar like an eagle and realize his own immensity within.”
~Uncle
