Active Adventure: Overnight Canoe Trips in Algonquin Park

Please Note:  We have paused our canoe trip programming for the summer of 2017 to focus on retreat-based experiences.

Canadian Canoe Culture Badge

Algonquin park canoe trips are for those who are willing to be more physically active and travel a little further to discover special places in Algonquin Park. You are curious about trying new things like swimming in a waterfall, paddling and portaging a canoe or creating memorable meals over an open fire . . . and you don’t mind sleeping on the ground to get away from it all.

Dip your paddle in the water of Algonquin Park and experience Canadian Canoe Culture with us.

Algonquin Park canoe trips include at least one night at the Edge with dinner and breakfast before heading out on a 3 – 6 day overnight canoe trip into Algonquin Park. Sleeping in shared tents on comfy air mattresses, you’ll awaken your spirit of the explorer feeling closer to nature and the sights and sounds of Algonquin Park wildlife. You’ll learn things like how to read maps, tie knots, start a fire, harvest tea from the forest, spot signs of wildlife, even how to pack and set up camp. Canoe trips into Algonquin Park are all inclusive. Just bring your sense of adventure and clothing that may go home kissed by mother earth.

Some words from our guests :

  • "Because the trip is really "roughing it" and you're quite far removed from civilization, having confidence in your guide is essential to enjoying this type of experience – and that we did! Not only were we surrounded in beauty, but Kieran and Tom's professionalism, expertise, encouragement, patience, endurance and adventurous personalities are what really made this experience a one-of-a-kind . . ."

  • "Everything we saw, from scenery to nature was absolutely breathtaking! The water was so very calm and all was so quiet, the weather couldn't have been any more perfect! We were thankful that the guides took the extra time to show us one of their favorite spots, the waterfalls . . ."
